Service: Love of Reading
Kappa Delta Pi and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies have partnered with Reedy Creek Elementary School in Charlotte to host our inagural Love of Reading (LOR) event. During this event we will read to every classroom using books that will then be donated to the classrooms. Each student will receive a “love of reading” bookmark too. There will be a training session Tuesday, February 11 to help volunteers prepare to read to the students (Session 1 - 2:30 pm in STUN 265 and Session 2 - 5:30 pm in COED 010). In addition to the read-in, we will hold a children’s book drive in March/April to gather books to create classroom libraries for Reedy Creek Elementary.
